Lions and tigers and... rats?

There is a lot I like about it and I can see how my skills go down when I don’t use it. The two things I don’t like: the voice recognition cannot recognize what I say; I don’t like the photos of spiders, rats, and snakes. Mainly the spiders. But why would a brain program put words and images of the three things most often feared? Shock the brain into healing? So that limits some of what I’m willing to do... other than those two things, I find it really helpful. That said, I don’t like getting marked down for “listening hints” on the images for alphabetizing. I see Pasta, but they call it spaghetti. I see a bunny and they call it a rabbit. I see a plane, they call it an airplane. So I would get all those wrong if I didn’t listen first. So it does have some issues (like matching sounds... getting them wrong when the cards are random guesses) but the good out weighs them.

The one thing that has upset me is the use of pictures of a rat, snake, and spider. Very large pictures. I’m ok with the first two, but with the third I have to shut the program down. Now I no longer do exercises that contain that image. I don’t get why a program for healing brains would include pictures of 3 of the most common phobias. Unless it is to stimulate the brain or heart!! Since the program utilities AI, there should be an update where the user could say “no images of spiders!” Otherwise it’s great. I like how I can raise or lower the levels depending on my abilities that week. There are some tech issues where data is lost, but the exercises help a lot.

Very good program for stroke recovery
It is a very good program, but the currency part is difficult for those not familiar with US coins. The music glove is also good but needs to be expanded with more games.

I recommend this therapy
I recently has a stroke and have been using the app to help me regain the connections in my brain. I find the app uses similar methods used by my speech therapist. It's a very valuable tool.

Feedback on my App.
I really like it. I’m hopeful that it will make me do better. Having a stroke is definitely a life changing experience.

My 87 year old father suffered a massive stroke earlier this year, but it took 4 trips to 4 different doctors, a CT scan and MRI before they realized it was a stroke. Needless to say, I felt we lost some valuable time in rehabilitation. He didn't experience any physical signs, but mentally, emotionally and visually (some auditory effects as well), he was a different person. I was researching therapies and came across FlintRehab CT App and decided it was worth a try. With a risk-free trial, it seemed like a win-win to me. We started the journey and I have seen marked improvement in most of the areas in which he has been assessed. He really dislikes the spelling and phonics section though, because he said he never could spell well, even when he was in school. :) I appreciate that they send me daily reports when he does 'his lessons', as well as a graph showing the specific areas and how it compares now with what his baseline was. I highly recommend it and even shared this with his doctor, so he can help other patients! Thanks!
